In most schools, children learn THREE aspects of science: Physical sciences, Earth sciences and Life science.
The Physical Sciences involves the study of the physical world which includes chemistry and physics. In studying about the physical sciences, children learn about the properties of certain materials, they learn about magnetism, they learn about different properties of water, they learn about of light and heat and so forth.
The Earth Sciences involves the study of things related to the earth which include geology, geography and meteorology. They will learn about the weather, they will learn about day and night, they will observe the sun and moon, they will learn about rivers, oceans and deserts.
The Life Sciences are those related living things and include biology, zoology and ecology. They will learn about living and non-living things, how things grow, how living things adapt to the environment, the similarities between plants and animals, the structures of plants and animals.
